Merbein

This property includes two blocks (each with own pump-set) and is located on Gibbs Rd, Merbein.  There is approximately a total of 147 acres currently planted with a further 20 acres to be planted to Table Grapes by late 2011.  The predominant plantings on the property are citrus with Table Grapes, Avocados and Mangoes making up the balance.  The properties water use is monitored by a state of the art EnviroSCAN system (which monitors water use in real time).

From 2006 approximately 100 acres has been covered with a hail netting structure to protect Citrus, Avocados and Mangoes.  This netting is designed to minimize the harsh weather elements of wind, heat, hail and frost.  The shade covers provide a much better growing environment for the particular crops grown under them with results so far showing cleaner, bigger and much improved Class 1 pack-outs (hence higher returns/tonne). 


Karadoc

This property is located on Kulkyne Way Road in Karadoc.  There is approximately a total of 140 acres planted to a mixture of Citrus, Avocados and Table grapes.  The property was first developed in the late 1970’s through until the 1980’s.  The property is irrigated by a combination of over head sprinklers for the Citrus and Avocados and by low level sprinklers for the Table grapes.  A state of the art drip irrigation and fertigation system was installed in early 2008.  The properties water use is monitored by a state of the art EnviroSCAN system (which monitors water use in real time).

Iraak

This property is located on Iraak Rd, Iraak.  There is approximately a total of 45 acres all planted to citrus.  Nearly all the plant and equipment used on the property is transferred from the Karadoc property as required.  The block is irrigated by drip irrigation, which covers the whole property in one irrigation shift.  The properties water use is monitored by a state of the art EnviroSCAN system (which monitors water use in real time).

Buronga

This property includes Farm 13 and Farm 14 and is located on Pitman Ave, Buronga.  There is approximately 64 acres as the combined total located at Buronga with the predominant plantings being citrus.  The remainder of the property (8 acres) is planted to 4 acres of Red Globe and 4 acres of Crimson Table Grapes.  A large proportion of the property is not in full production due to large areas of replanted navel varieties and also a large proportion top-grafted to various navel varieties.
